Yesterday, the construction site of Zhejiang Gaia New Energy Co., Ltd.’s new energy storage-type large cylindrical 3GWh lithium (sodium) battery manufacturing project was a hive of activity. Currently, the construction of four workshops is underway simultaneously, with the main structure completion reaching nearly 90%. It is expected that all buildings will be capped by the end of November.
As a key indicator reflecting economic vitality, private investment plays a crucial role in stabilizing growth, employment, and expectations. As a major private investment project in Suichang, the new energy storage-type large cylindrical lithium (sodium) battery manufacturing project includes, in its first phase, the construction of new cell production workshops, system integration workshops, chemical warehouses, supporting facilities, a comprehensive building, and surrounding greening.
According to the plan, some equipment will be delivered to the site by the end of this year, with commissioning scheduled for March next year. Going forward, close communication will be maintained with the construction unit to synergistically advance the project progress, ensuring its smooth implementation and early commissioning and production.
At the underground construction site of the Geo-Center World project in Hushan Township, Suichang County, workers are busy with interior finishing, floor cleaning, and lighting commissioning, making the final push for the upcoming opening.
“With a total investment of 528 million yuan and a planned area of approximately 300 mu (20 hectares), our project features a tourist center with a construction area of about 10,000 square meters and 66 hotel rooms. The Geo-Center World boasts distinctive underground hot springs, Asia’s deepest shaft elevator for civil use, and the world’s first ‘time-space shuttle’ traversing the earth’s core,” introduced Liu Yihua, manager of the Tourism Department.
“Integrating the innovative concept of ‘mine governance + environmental restoration + tourism development’, the Geo-Center World project fully utilizes geothermal resources and strives to build a leading large-scale cultural and tourism complex in China. It not only integrates various experiences such as adventure tourism, health preservation, mine research, and underground art but also provides a unique venue for mine-themed study tours,” said Ye Kai, deputy mayor of Hushan Township. He added that the project will not only contribute to ecological protection but also inject new vitality into the development of cultural and tourism industries in Hushan and Suichang, generating significant economic benefits.
Data shows that in the first three quarters, Suichang’s private investment increased by 27.2% year-on-year, accounting for 30.5% of the total fixed asset investment—an increase of 4.1 percentage points compared with the same period last year.
The strong momentum of private investment is inseparable from the first-class business environment and solid factor guarantees. Suichang firmly regards projects as the lifeline of development, concentrating resources with top-tier standards and full commitment to vigorously promote industrial cultivation, project tackling, and targeted investment promotion. By establishing a full-cycle service chain, the county has made every effort to ensure uninterrupted project recruitment, unimpeded supply of key factors, and round-the-clock services for enterprises, further accumulating momentum for the high-quality economic and social development of the county.
